They can be a great way to find both telescope stores and mail order stores that have a good selection such as Meade and Celestron. Buying online is by far the easiest option. There is no need to have to drive to find a telescope store, which could be quite a distance away. Online shopping also gives you the added advantage that prices are generally cheaper online.
